Pink Floyd Tour Information David Gilmour in concert - David Gilmour performed live for five shows in January in London, England and Paris, France. See below for details on the concerts. David has decided to release his performaces on DVD recently. You may obtain your copy here. Pink Floyd as a group does not currently have any tour plans...and haven't since the record breaking Division Bell tour of 1994. David Gilmour, however, recently performed in June of 2001 in a small festival in England for one day and one performace only. The set list and some information on that performace is below. DETAILS: Following his sold out night in June as part of Robert Wyatt's Meltdown, David Gilmour returned to play two semi-acoustic shows, playing Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, Bizet and other new material. 'The revelation of the evening was the romanticism of his arrangements, the mellifluousness of his voice, the churchy swoop of the streaming arpeggiated cello and the nine-part choral harmonies'.
The "Mind Your Head" Festival hosted a series of shows at London's Royal Festival Hall from October 3 to October 19, 2001. The shows were similar to Robert Wyatt's Meltdown Festival that was held in June. The various artists invited to perform celebrated the "fascination with altered states that emerged from the 1960s subculture". David Gilmour played the October 19th show.
